A few tips to keep your copier costs in check
You don’t always have the time to research the problems and solutions that can help keep your copier and printer costs low. Since I have my brain on this day in and day out, here are a few nuggets that you can apply immediately.
1. Check out all associated costs. Don’t look at only cost per print, or cost of equipment. After you’ve factored everything in except for paper do a comparison.
2. Look at each machine’s maintenance records. Is one causing considerably more problems than the rest? How much extra does having that machine cost you?
3. If you don’t need color then don’t get it. It will always end up costing you more.
4. If you don’t need tabloid, or you can get by without it, then don’t get it. The price difference here is about three grand.
