Ending a Copier Lease

There is nothing worse than getting hit with fines that you did not expect. This can happen a lot in leases of any type. However, there is a place that we see people not pay close enough attention to time and again. Ending a copier lease may not be as straightforward as you may have thought. It doesn’t have to complicated as long as you know what you are doing. 

Ending a copier lease is all about understanding your lease. If you are someone who meticulously reads every word then you will probably be fine. However, not everyone reads to the end of their lease. Many people follow the rules but stop paying attention when their lease comes to an end. This can affect you greatly if you aren’t careful.

The most annoying thing that can happen to you is having you lease rollover. Some leases are allowed to continue unless you specifically request to terminate it. This can costs a bunch of extra money and leave you stuck with an inferior machine.

Next, check to see who is in charge of shipping the copier. Don’t just assume that you leasing company will take care of it. It is usually your responsibility to take of that. Give yourself time to search for a good deal before it’s too late.

Finally, make sure you know how to ship everything. Some items may need to be in separate bags, or packaged in special ways. Follow the rules or your could end up paying fines.
